Our key initiatives
Vision Map
Our Vision Map shows what Bay Area transit would if we planned and operated it as one unified system. We also modeled how seamless and improved transit would expand peoples access to jobs and housing throughout the region.
Integrated Fare Vision
We developed a feasible vision for a unified, equitable fare system that would make transit easier to understand, attract more riders, and expand affordable access to housing and jobs. We also developed our own fare calculator tool to compare current fares against those proposed in our vision.
Regional Transit Measure
We must pass the Regional Transit Measure (RTM) on the November 2026 General Election ballot to prevent drastic service cuts to Bay Area transit. Seamless Bay Area urges yes on RTM and helped organize over 1,000 volunteer signature gatherers to get the measure on the November ballot.
A Bay Area Network Manager
Seamless Bay Area supports governance reform of Bay Area transit institutions. Our report, Governing Transit Seamlessly: Options for a Bay Area Transportation Network Manager, outlines options for a Bay Area transit network manager that could bring transformative change to our transit system.
Operations Funding
Seamless Bay Area authored a report with the Voices for Public Transportation coalition showing how the Bay Area underfunds transit operations and what levels of new investment would be required to substantially increase ridership.
Faster and More Frequent Buses
We're organizing to make buses and light rail faster and more reliable in the Bay Area. We need you to help get Transit Priority Policies passed in your city and county.
Transit Recovery Vision
In response to the unprecedented impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on public transportation ridership and operations, Seamless Bay Area collaborated with AECOM to envision how transit services could adapt.
