There are a lot of time-sensitive actions you can take to support Bay Area transit including:
As soon as possible: Speak out against California regulators efforts to give billions to big polluters and cut transit and affordable housing funding.
Before May 17th: Turn in your transit signature packets.
Before you cast your ballot in the June Primary: See what the Bay Area candidates vying for your vote have to say about transportation issues.

It's time to vote in the California primary election! Elected officials at every level of government can play a vital role in making it easier, safer, and greener for more people to get around our communities.
So before you cast your ballot, see what over 80 candidates across the 9-county Bay Area have to say about transit, traffic violence, and bike/pedestrian infrastructure.
Everyone in the Bay Area deserves a convenient, reliable, and accessible transit network. Since 2018, Seamless Bay Area has been spearheading advocacy to transform Bay Area public transit into a world-class system – and this year, we're working hard to pass the Connect Bay Area ballot measure to prevent dire service cuts to transit across our region.

Turn in your Connect Bay Area signature packets by May 17th!
Good news! We're on track to have enough signatures to get both the Connect Bay Area and Stronger Muni For All initiatives on the November ballot thanks to the hard work of over 1,000 people who helped gather signatures! As such, we need all your petition packets to be turned in by May 17 in order for them to count. The sooner, the better!

Speak Out! California regulators want to give billions to big polluters and cut transit and affordable housing funding
Public transit agencies throughout California, including Bay Area transit, could collectively lose billions of dollars if the California Air Resources Board (CARB) goes through with its proposal to give away polluting credits to Chevron and other big corporations.
Last year, the California Legislature made a promise: extend the Cap-and-Invest Program to 2045 and direct billions in annual climate revenues toward transit, housing, and clean air — but CARB's proposed update to the regulations breaks that promise and essentially drains the program.
CARB’s proposal slashes affordable transit-oriented housing, major public transit projects, transit services, and discounted transit pass programs throughout the entire state by up to $4 billion over the next four years.
And although the current structure of the program should mean that funding for high-speed rail is safe, shenanigans like this from CARB throw the reliability of the whole Cap & Invest program at risk.
We can still stop this giveaway to big polluters – but we are all going to have to get loud. CARB will make a decision on whether or not to move forward at the end of May. They need to hear from you today. Take action here to send a letter to CARB!
Once you’re done, please then call Governor Gavin Newsom’s office at (916) 445-2841 and say:
“Hi my name is ___ and I am a California resident living in _____.
I am calling to urge Governor Newsom to tell his California Air Resources Board appointees to reject the proposal to give away billions of dollars in polluting credits to big corporations and instead to stand by the legislature’s commitment to fund public transit and other programs that are proven to clean our air.”
