The Seamless Bay Area Award @ SF Transit Riders' Rider-First Award Party

We’re excited to announce the new Seamless Bay Area Award!

Know someone who has championed one or more of the Seamless Transit Principles this year? Submit nominations by Friday, 8.30 with a name and quick sentence on their contributions towards a more Seamless Bay Area.

In it’s second year, the Rider-First Awards, held during San Francisco Transit Riders’ Transit Week celebrates the people who are putting riders first on transit. This year, Seamless Bay Area is sponsoring the Seamless Bay Area Award which will celebrate a person or team who has uniquely contributed towards creating a more seamlessly integrated, world-class transit system that works for people in the Bay Area.

For this award, we’re looking for nominees who’s work aligns and supports the following Seamless Transit Principles (and if you haven’t signed our petition in support of these principles, please do so to show your support!):

  1. Run all Bay Area transit as one easy-to-use system;

  2. Put riders first;

  3. Make public transit equitable and accessible to all;

  4. Align transit prices to be simple, fair, and affordable;

  5. Connect effortlessly with other sustainable transportation;

  6. Plan communities and transportation together; and

  7. Prioritize reforms to create a seamless network.

Please send ideas and nominations by Friday, 8.30.2019 to submit. The award will be announced the week before SF Transit Week which will be held September 7-13th and the Seamless Bay Area Awardee will be celebrated among other SF Transit Week Rider-First Awards at the Rider-First Award party September 13th, 6:30-9pm.
