2/3/22: Introducing SB 917, the Seamless Transit Transformation Act!

Breaking news in our fight for seamless transit: this morning, Senator Josh Becker introduced SB 917, the Seamless Transit Transformation Act, a new bill that will create a more coordinated Bay Area transit system!

Hi supporters!

We're excited to share some BREAKING NEWS in our fight for seamless transit: this morning, State Sen. Josh Becker introduced SB 917, the Seamless Transit Transformation Act, a
new bill to create a
more coordinated and integrated Bay Area transit system, while improving the rider experience!

Sponsored by Seamless Bay Area, the Bay Area Council, and TransForm, SB 917 would require transit agencies in the region to work together to develop an integrated transit fare structure by 2024, build a Connected Network Plan to support schedule coordination and service standards, and create a single regional transit map and standardized wayfinding system.

This legislation is a critically important step toward a rider-first transit system in the Bay Area. It builds on previous bills we've championed as well as the recent work of the Bay Area Transit Recovery Task Force.
