Existing service offerings are not addressing climate change. Join other designers and climate resilience builders at our seventh gathering of the SDN SF Climate Working Group to examine policy and regional transportation issues. We will be joined by Arielle Fleisher, Sr. Transportation Policy Associate of SPUR, and Rachel Hollowgrass from Seamless Bay Area.

Arielle Fleisher supports SPUR's efforts to create a high-quality transportation system in the Bay Area. Previously, she worked at the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency, where she managed a number of bicycle and pedestrian safety education programs in support of the city's Vision Zero policy. She is the recent author of SPUR’s recent white paper, Solving the Bay Area’s Fare Policy Problem.

Rachel Hollowgrass is a user experience researcher and designer at the University of California. Her work at the Berkeley Lab includes the AmeriFluxnetwork, a community of scientists measuring ecosystem carbon, water, and energy fluxes across the Americas. She is a volunteer with Seamless Bay Area, which advocates for the customer experience at Bay Area transit agencies.

The SDN SF Climate Working Group has been meeting regularly since January. Newcomers are welcome. The goal of the Climate Working Group is to support the application of service design to address climate change through the generation of research, best practices, tools, and/or other products and projects. Read more about what we've been up to in our recent Medium article.

Light refreshments and beverages will be provided. After the meeting, we will head to a nearby restaurant to continue the conversation, so please join us!
