Before April 17th, submit support letters for the Connect Bay Area Act, SB 1031.

We encourage organizations to show their support for SB 1031, the Connect Bay Area Act, a critical bill for the future of Bay Area transit! Introduced by Senators Scott Wiener and Aisha Wahab, this bill authorizes a Bay Area transportation funding measure that is expected to raise between $1-2 billion annually and with reforms to deepen transit integration, study the consolidation of public transit agencies, and more.

Before 12pm on April 17th, use this template to submit your support letter to the Senate Transportation Committee and Senate Revenue and Taxation Committee. Please also spread the word to other groups. Please email us at info@seamlessbayarea.org after you submit your letters!

Read our recent blog post to understand why Seamless strongly supports this bill, and also see this fact sheet from Senator Wiener’s office. Thank you so much for considering it, and email us at info@seamlessbayarea.org if you have any questions.

Submission instructions: When you finish editing the support letter templates, go to the California Legislature Position Letter Portal at https://calegislation.lc.ca.gov/Advocates/. Sign in or create an account. Then go to the Submit a Letter page. Select measure type and enter measure number, then click Search. Click Next and click on the organization you are representing. Then, make sure the Revenue and Taxation and Transportation Committee are selected. You should also send it to the Author Staff. Click Next → Select File. Select the “Support” Stance and input the Subject text for the letter. Click Choose File and navigate to select a letter. Click Review. Select Submit Position Letter to send the letter.
